Clean skin

From Callous, you may think your skin is clean, but scrub as you like you'll never get rid of the bacteria. Even if you get rid of the surface ones, your inner bits probably have more bacteria than human cells. This works because bacteria are a lot smaller.

Food and camping special

Another myth. Two guys sharing a bed must be head to foot (Strangely enough when I was a  child it was called "Head to Tail" which if you think about it is even weirder) failing which they will turn gay.

What is it about being gay that it is so easy to become? I've never noticed a strong desire to switch from fish to chestnuts. Are these all tales told by closeted gays who are in denial to explain their lapses?

Anti-vaccine or pro-polio?

Another from Carbon dating. This time on the anti-vaxxers, challenging them on if they are anti vaccine or pro-polio. I have no idea why we let these people spread harmful nonsense like pro-polio and pro-caries (anti fluoride) without any comeback. I'd like to see them made personally responsible for any harm they cause.

Special food issue

I found I'd been saving a whole bunch of food related cartoons in this time period. I've bumped a few non food related ones to the next posting but this is basically as it happened in my twisted mind.

First up today we have a debut on bacon sandwiches from Callous Comics.  Callous occasionally makes me laugh out loud but more often just gives me a wry smile. I also tend to confuse it with both Donald Duck and with  the PhD comic. I don't follow Donald Duck and no anthropomorphic animals are in PhD so I don't understand why the confusion.

Placebo effect monkey

This is the first entry in my archives for Kyle Sanders' sceptical webcomic Carbon Dating. As a cynic and sceptic myself, I look forward to reading his cartoons Here he discusses the logical fallacy argument from antiquity especially as related to the placebo effect as related to needle bearing monkeys.

Using Smartwatches

WOW.  I can't believe that this was the first XKCD I saved, that's almost as crazy as not having found a Dilbert yet. I was reading both of them long before I left Google Reader and started this collection.

This was was long before the Apple watch came out, but it's good to see that Randall used the Smartwatch as an accessory for an Apple iPhone.

I sing the chargers electric

The second half of March was pretty lean as well, but it did contain Abstruse Goose's take on our struggle to keep our gadgets charged.
